Own Brand packaging plays a crucial role in representing the brand itself. It serves as the face of the product, showcasing its essence and values to the customers. Through thoughtful design and strategic placement, the packaging features highlight the unique attributes of the product, creating an immediate connection with consumers. Equally important, strong visual recognition is achieved through consistent branding.
Quill own brand products are only sold online, therefore a customer views the product listing most commonly through search results, displayed in a large list of like and competing products. Additionally, customers develop a first impression by scanning the product image, not the text description.
That said, the branding was kept in bold Quill brand colors and simple to ensure it visually catches attention and can easily be recognized.
Element priorities in which we want the viewer to quickly scan:
Product name
Quill logo
Reorder number
Once purchased, customers commonly store the product in a supply cabinet. To ensure simple reordering, we placed the Reorder number boldly on all applicable sides so that it is visible regardless of how it is stacked.
With many critical elements, we did not want to distract by adding complex design. The dots are a simple effortless element that adds playfulness to the otherwise direct brand.
